Dear All,
kindly find here some
clarifications from Prof. Mazzoli regarding the Project appraisal
exam.
In addition to that, kindly
find herewith enclosed the detailed schedule of the exam. In case
of any problem/constraint, kindly let us know in advance so we
will have time to adjust the timetable accordingly.
We will provide you with the
link to the GoToMeeting classroom the day before of the exam.
Best,
Raffaella
Dear students,
first and foremost, I hope
this email will find you and your family well and safe during
these unusual times.
Secondly, in preparation to
the exam scheduled on the 11th of May 2020, I would like to
clarify the concerns expressed by some of the students and thereof
to provide the following guidance:
- You have been informed
that - given the circumstances - the exam will be carried out in
the form of a web-based brief interview;
- Both Raffaella and Olga
will attend the interview;
- We will shortly selected
the most reliable internet application to carry
out the interview and the final choice will be communicated to
you next week;
- Since it is a web-based
exam, we expect to see your face during the interview.
Few tips on Dos and Don'ts during the video-call here;
- if you know that your internet
connection is not reliable, please seek a solution
before the exam;
- Some of you may have
returned home. Please, notify us on your current
location (or where are you expected to undertake the
exam) so we can adjust the time of the interview to suit
everyone's needs at best. Please share this information with us
as soon as possible. If we do not receive any indication, we
will assume you are based in Italy;
- Prior to the exam, you
will be informed on the exact time (CET and location-based) of
the call. Be ready and punctual;
- Each candidate will be
asked three (3) questions;
- The questions are all (and
only) related to the studying material
provided and agreed at the end of the course;
- Each question has a
maximum score of 10 points, making up for a
total cumulative score of 30 points;
- The score will be assigned
based on your capacity to provide an exhaustive
explanation
of the topics being asked;
- Each interview will last
10 minutes maximum, hence you will need to respond
concisely and to the point;
- Since I want you to
perform to the best of your capacities, if during your response
I notice you are going off track or not getting to the core of
the matter, I will reserve the right to interrupt you and ask
you some probing
questions. Such questions will be additional to the
three (3) questions and will only be asked to help you getting
to the point;
- You will not
be asked to carry out any numerical exercise
or process any calculation in excel or on your hand calculator.
Yet, you may be asked on how would you calculate an indicator
(formula+procedure);
- Once the interview is
over, you will be communicated immediately the final
score of your exam.
I hope the above clarifies some of the concerns you might have
had. Should there be any need for further clarifications, please
do not hesitate contacting me (
">
)
I look forward to see you on
the 11th. Meanwhile, stay safe and stay home!
Enrico
