Dear Madam/Sir,

 

We allow ourselves to contact you as members of a Belgian non-profit organization called "YOUropean Week" and to promote our parliamentary process simulation. Our organization was founded and is led by former master students of the European Studies institute (IEE) of UCLouvain University in Belgium. The YOUropean Week is based in Louvain-la-Neuve and in Brussels. 

 

The YOUropean Week, guided by the principle of political neutrality, is an educational organisation that aims to help young and ambitious students to better understand the European Union and its institutions. To do so, we propose a week of simulation of the European Parliament that will be held from the March 28th to April 1st in Brussels.

 

During this week, participants will act as effective Members of the European Parliament (they will be assigned to a political group and a commission), or lobbyists, in order to discuss, amend and vote on a text that will be allocated to them. This year's simulation will be about the Green Deal. In addition, various events added-on to this simulation will enable these young citizens to develop a thorough knowledge of the European legislative processes through various interventions of MEPs, experts, and other activities.

 

Hence, the main goal of the YOUropean Week is to bring Europeans together under the framework of the EU project. Throughout this week, they will be able to meet people from all over Europe, to exchange and debate.We promote what will become an unforgettable human experience!

 

Last but not least, you may find attached in this mail all the modalities and information on how to participate in the YOUropean Week 2022.
