Io ancora devo installarlo (anche io su ubuntu 8.04) ma credo che tu debba compilarlo e patcharlo sul sistema reale e non sulla macchina virtuale.
Poi devi importarlo già compilato all'interno delle macchine virtuali di netkit.
Se ho capito male non prendere in considerazione quanto scritto sopra :)

Cmq tra pochi min provo anche io a metterlo.

Presumo mi manchi il compilatore C++, su Ubuntu mi serve il pacchetto G++? Ho tentato ma durante lo scaricamento dei pacchetti mi viene fuori questo:
W: Errore nello scaricare http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux/linux-libc-dev_2.6.24-19.34_i386.deb

Qualche consiglio?
