Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the upcoming
Jobs and Development Conference, on October 8 and 9, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt. This high-level event is co-organized by the World Bank, UNU-WIDER, and the ILO, in partnership with the Network on Jobs and Development. This year, the conference will
be hosted by J-PAL Middle East and North Africa (MENA), based at the American University in Cairo (AUC), with support from the Economic Research Forum (ERF).
The conference will convene a global audience of researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss and share cutting-edge research to identify solutions to jobs challenges in low- and middle-income countries. The two-day event will
feature keynote speeches, a policy panel, special sessions, and about 50 paper presentations in parallel sessions.
