The Department of Computer Science at TU Kaiserslautern is one of the
leading computer science locations in Germany -
due also to its collaboration with the research institutes MPI for
Software Systems, Fraunhofer IESE, and DFKI.
In the Software Engineering Research Group "Processes and
Measurement", there is an immediate vacancy for a
Scientist (m/f, full-time)
in the area of Software Engineering
Your Tasks:
You will be working as a scientist with the intention of pursuing
further academic qualification. The position is offered at
the Chair for Software Engineering: Processes and Measurement at TU
Kaiserslautern and is funded by the collaborative
research project "ARAMIS - Automotive, Railway and Avionic Multi-core
Systems" and the pilot project ViERforES II of the
German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The position
offers the possibility of obtaining a PhD in
collaboration with renowned partners from industry and research. One
sub-goal of these projects is the integration of
innovative system engineering methods, techniques, and tools into an
integrated development methodology as well as
its empirical validation. Your tasks will focus on the following areas:
* Elicitation of requirements for an integrated development process
for multicore systems. Integration of innovative
methods, techniques, and tools into a development process. Formalized
process description.
* Derivation of suitable KPIs for the quantitative evaluation of
methods, techniques, and tools.
* Coordination, support, performance, and analysis of goal-oriented
empirical studies for assessing the effectiveness
of new technologies (techniques, methods, tools). Collection,
packaging, and summary assessment of the evaluation
results.
About Us:
The Research Group Software Engineering: Processes and Measurement
conducts research into issues such as empirical
software engineering development processes and methods. The goal is to
develop software in accordance with pertinent
requirements. The Research Group is integrated into the Leading-Edge
Cluster at TU Kaiserslautern and is collaborating in
several research projects. In addition, there is close cooperation
with the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software
Engineering (IESE).
Your Profile:
You have graduated with a degree in computer science or in an
engineering science with above-average results. You are
used to working independently, flexible, fluent in German and English,
and interested in scientific work, and you plan to
do your PhD.

Länder Employees (TV-L), level TV-L E13. We
