On the 21st and 22nd of January, 2016, Sogei will organize and host the third edition of the  international workshop “GNSS Technology Advances in a Multi-Constellation Framework”, a meeting that will explore the latest developments in satellite navigation technology in light of the opportunities that will be offered in the near future by the availability of multiple constellations (GPS, Galileo, EGNOS, GLONASS, Beidou).

This major scientific initiative is open to public institutions, enterprises and research centres, as it aims to promote a greater awareness and knowledge of GNSS technology and the importance of its applications. 

The workshop will provide an introduction to GNSS technology and expand on the following issues:

-       Multi-constellation systems and interoperability

-       High-integrity systems and techniques

-       High-precision systems and innovative services

-       Anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies

-       State of the art and organisation of the services delivered by European systems Galileo and EGNOS

-       High Integrity GNSS applications for Rail

The event will have an international status and will be attended by the key players in the field, among them:

-       Mr. Gian Gherado Calini – Marketing Director of the European GNSS Agency (GSA)

-       Prof. Per Enge – Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University (USA)

-       Prof. Gérard Lachapelle – Associate Professor  at the Calgary University (Canada)

-       Prof. Kai Borre – Associate Professor at Samara State Space University (Russia)

-       Mr. Mario Caporale - Italian delegate to the Galileo Programme (ASI)

-       Mr. Marco Lisi – GNSS Services Engineering Manager at the European Space Agency (ESA)
