Dear Colleague,

we are pleased to announce a three-day course on empirical methods and modern econometric practice held by J.D. Angrist (MIT) that will take place in Ravello (Amalfi Coast, Italy) on June 12-15, 2015.

The course is based on the newly-released text, Mastering 'Metrics: The Path from Cause to Effect, by Joshua D. Angrist & Jörn-Steffen Pischke, as well as Angrist and Pischke’s earlier blockbuster Mostly Harmless Econometrics

This three-day course covers state-of-the-art econometric methods for the estimation of causal effects, including randomized field experiments, matching methods, instrumental variables, differences-in-differences, and regression discontinuity designs.

The course is limited to 55 participants. Interested participants are asked to complete a brief application form.

This workshop will offer a mixture of classroom lectures and American labor-lunch style presentations with discussion of participants’ work.
